Letter to my Abuser

To you,

The day I started writing this, Harvey Weinstein was convicted of rape. This never happened with you, as the system failed to recognise the true depth of the situation at hand. I tried my best, but it took a toll on me. I had to finally let go and leave it in the hands of the karmic universe.

It is almost well over a year now, yet the day itself still seems jarring. You changed my life both for better, and for worse. You were a thief for you took a part of me. I have never been the same since.

I just want you to know I am liberated. Adjusting to a new normal. A life that is unfolding which has taught me so much about love and happiness. Uncanny that these two things can even come in a sentence with the word life; a life forever transformed.

With all that being said I hope you have at the least, learnt your lesson.

From myself
